HERD BULLS AND EGRET

The 1960 and 70s saw a rapid growth in our understanding of the complexity and fragility of Australia’s farmlands. The decades that followed spawned multiple organisations dedicated to changing the way we did things to protect the land.

In this painting Phil uses the strength of herd bulls contrasted with the fragility of the surrounding environment to demonstrate the tension between the two.

In recognition of Landcare Australia and their efforts to disseminate knowledge and introduce new concepts at both Government and grass root levels, Phil released Limited Edition prints of this superb painting.
